I am married to Rachel and we have four great children. We moved to Yeovil in 2003 where I now fulfill the role of leading the leadership team. I am passionate about community transformation and the church working in partnership to see our nation transformed, and so I am also an ambassador for Cinnamon Network, running a series of civic engagement events around the country. I am chair of governors for Westfield Academy and spend any spare time watching football, movies or modern family with my modern family.
Rachel Dyer Children & Families Leader
I am married to Adam and we have 4 delightful children. Adam and I moved with our children from the North West in 2003 and prior to living in Yeovil, I worked as a Family Law solicitor and have recently trained as an Early Years Professional. I now work part-time for YCC as Children and Families leader. My heart is to see children and their families released from brokenness and for the hope of Jesus Christ to become a reality in the lives of people in Yeovil.
Claire Hardy 11 to 18s Leader
I was born and grew up in Yeovil. I have always loved being part of YCC and have worked full time for the church since 2006. I was part of the Urban Warriors team for 3 years and I am now the 11-18s leader, which means I am responsible for young people in the church. I am really passionate about young people knowing God and growing in their relationship with Him. I want them to be healed, transformed and restored so they can be all that God calls them to be. I believe working with young people is so exciting and I feel very blessed that this is my job!
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband Joe, baby Joshua, and our families and friends. I also enjoy going on holiday and seeing other places around the world!
Joe Hardy Create Team leader
I have grown up in YCC and am married to Claire, we have a baby called Joshua. I lead the Create team based here at YCC bringing volunteers from all over the world to work with the young people through creative arts. I oversee worship and spend time traveling to lead worship and perform at other events. I have a real passion for creativity and seeing God’s creativity released in people whether that’s through music, media, dance or anything else creative. I want to see people connecting to our creator God through creativity.
I am married to Phil and have 2 wonderful girls, Faith and Grace. I came to Yeovil in 1994 after training in the fine arts and I now split my time between working with the leadership team and pursuing my love of painting and all things broken and shiny! I believe that God speaks today. He speaks in many different ways, sometimes in word, sometimes in image, sometimes in ways we can barely comprehend. I believe that God will speak to each one of us, so that we are all healed and transformed to be who we are meant to be in Christ, so we can do the things that only we can do for Him.
I am a Yeovilian by birth, am married to Lynn and have three children; Joel, Daniel & Becky (married to Ian), plus a grandchild (Noah). I have spent most of my life dividing my working day between helping to co-ordinate YCC and directing a leather business here in UK and in NZ. Having now retired from business I (theoretically) have more time to spend with family, though that doesn’t always seem to work out. I am a YCC trustee. I enjoy reading widely, walking to relax and try to keep up to date with IT stuff so I can pretend that I know what I’m talking about when the conversation turns technical.
Alan Partington Community Pastoral Leader
I am part of the leadership team and employed on a full time basis. I work as the Community Pastoral Leader and am involved in overseeing areas of a pastoral nature both in the Community and the Church. I am part of the management team of Yeovil Street Pastors, Also Im committed to resourcing churches in Europe that we have relationship with. Some of my other activities include being chaplain to the Yeovil Police Force, Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and our local ASDA supermarket.
Although I originate from the North West of England, I have lived in Yeovil for 24 years. My spare time is taken up with walking, relaxing with friends, cooking and seeing new places. I am married to Marion, we have two daughters Becky and Sarah and a grandson called George.
I am married to Malcolm and am thrilled to be on the team. My desire is to see God’s people healed, restored and free.
I am married to Jan and have two grown-up children and two young grandchildren. Before coming to YCC, we lived in Aberdeen and were part of City Church Aberdeen where I was a member of their Leadership Team. My heart is to see people healed, restored, forgiven, praising God, built into the church community and operating at their full potential! My main focus is leading YCC’s outreach in France and support of the local church there. I am also one of the YCC Trustees.
I moved here from London’s East End in 1982 and have been part of this church family since those days. I enjoy seeing my home filled with people discovering new friendships, deepening old ones, enjoying food and conversations, relationships flourishing! However I equally love time spent alone in my craft room or garden where most of my contemplative musings seem to happen!
I am constantly challenged to live a more uncluttered life in order to make time for what is important to me whilst trying to make more ethical choices in terms of lifestyle! In 2005 I visited an Indian Charity in Delhi called “Asha”. I was so inspired by their community transformation work amongst the slum dwellers in that city that I became a keen supporter of their work and have been spreading the word ever since! I have Delhi clothes and Yeovil clothes! I am married to Dick and we have 3 adult sons.
I’m new to this role, but I’m a single guy who loves Jesus and His Kingdom.
I have a heart to see Jesus involved in every sphere of life. I seek to know God more, to unveil what He is doing globally and invite others along for the ride. I believe the God of the bible is the God of today and that life can be full of joy!
